No "Properties" menu in Console window; MMC fails with "Failed to create empty document"
This is the second time I've had this problem now. The first was when I just installed Windows 7 (x64), and I got it today after installing SUA.The problem is in the console window (cmd.exe) the "Properties" menu doesn't show up when I right-click. Also, whenever I try to access an tool that runs as a MMC snap-in, I get the error "Failed to create empty document" with a blank OK button. The last time these problems just disappeared, probably because of a Windows update that corrected some setting/file.I've already tried all the proposed solutions to the MMC problem (resetting temp folders etc), but nothing seems to work. Also, it's very irritating working in a console window with no copy n paste.Does anyone know what causes this and/or how to fix it?

I just noticed that all MessageBoxes with only an OK button appear with a blank button :\

Dear Mark!I am experiencing the same problem -when launching mmc or trying to capture a screenshot using snagit, I also get the "failed to create empty document" error.I changed the directories for the temporary files, but without success.Further on, I performed a complete virus-scan in order to ensure that the pc is not infected. Is there any outcome of saliejs issue report? In addition, I discovered a very strange behavior of windows 7/ its applications. It is not possible anymore, to move/ change size of program windows. also when performing a click with the right mouse button onto an applications top line, the menu for minimizing/ move/ exit applications does not appear anymore.when clicking onto the symbols of applications on their right top (minimize/ maximize/ close) the buttons seam to be active (you can see that the button is pressed), but nothing happens. the only way to close application windows is to perform a click with the right mouse button in the taskbar, and chose "close window".Even more interesting is, that not being able to resize application windows/ or moving them dies not apply for all programs. for example email messages and word documents can be moved around. the microsoft outlook window cant be moved around.norton 360 cannot be moved around, but therefore it can be closed using the x on the top on the right side.thats really strange...anyone else experienced this or similar behaviour?any feedback tips are more than welcome!cheers
